Having not touched the site for the last 2 years, I thought it about time that I should update it!

I have transitioned away from WordPress to Astro, which I really like so far.Over the coming weeks, I’ll be adding more content as the transition continues.

What’s new?

Plenty has happened here over the last two years, and plenty still to do! The automation of the roof has not been finished, but my excuse is a lot of DIY needed to be done first!!

An ASI AIR Plus has found it’s way into the observatory instead of the PC - at least for now, mainly because there is not a lot of room in the observatory at the moment.

At the end of 2025, I aquired a Revelation 12-inch dobsonian, so had to rearrange the space to fit it in. The PC desk had to come out, so with nowhere to put the PC, I decided to change it to the ASI Air. Once the roof is finally done, this will be revisied, but for now, it’s wotking great.

The other main news is the AtikOne CCD has been replaced with an AS2600MM Pro with filter wheel and off axis-guiding on the Esprit. This is a great field of view that I am still getting to grips with, but will be amazing on some of the larger targets.

New images?

Well, yes, actually! I am building a gallery on the site - and there is a first image in there! First one in a long time, but there we are…
